Strength is a skill. At EDGE, we don’t just put you through a workout to make you sweat. We educate, inspire, and teach you how to build physical resilience for the rest of your life.

Our philosophy

We believe that building a stronger, healthier relationship with your body requires intent. We prioritize mastering the primary compound movements—the Squat, Bench Press, Pull up and Deadlift—because they offer the highest return on your investment of time and effort.

By training in small, coach-led squads, you receive the personalized technical feedback of 1-on-1 personal training, combined with a structured, progressive program. It’s not about doing more; it’s about doing it better.

Our Team

Vicky

I am so proud of the community EDGE has become and I am so grateful for the amazing coaches we have, and for every single member

Vicky is the founder of EDGE. It is her passion for strength training and helping people that brought it into existence.

She will work with you to make progress by starting where you are right now. Vicky will build your confidence and competence as well as providing accountability and help you add the structure and routine needed to lead to long term success. 

Vicky’ qualifications include: Level 3 Personal Training, Level 3 British Weightlifting coach, Certified Menopause Specialist Coach, EIA Nutrition, EIQ Online Coaching.

Alvin

Alvin’s aim is to help you build confidence, in how your body looks and what you can do with it…

His approach is based on:

  • Helping you turbo charge the things you’re already doing well.
  • Building your “real life” strength and fitness using uncomplicated but effective exercises.
  • Making simple nutritional changes, avoiding extreme or fad diets.

Alvin’s qualifications include BSc Sports and Exercise Science, Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 2 Precision Nutrition.

Josh

Josh is a personal trainer and sports therapist. He has worked at a variety of gyms, as well as at rugby teams and football academies, where he has learned how top level athletes work and train.

He is qualified to Level 3 Personal Training, has a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science, and an MSc in Sports Therapy. He enjoys working with people to help them achieve their goals, and to help people recover from/manage injuries through stretching and workout routines.

Josh is also a Liverpool FC fan, and watches them as often as possible. But don’t hold that against him! He can’t wait to work with you to help you achieve your goals.

Our Facilities

Our training facility is located at Cleve Rugby Football Club in Emersons Green. We have everything you need to execute your program safely and effectively—without the crowds or intimidation of a commercial gym.
